I’ve adored 1748 Bakehouse ever since Allison and Kurt were selling their delicacies as “My Grandmother’s Pie” in a small booth at Riverside Arts Market. Every single thing I’ve tried has been phenomenal. I’m more a fan of the savory pastries; my husband is a sucker for anything sweet. One of our favorite staples is the cardamom cookies, but you seriously can’t go wrong with anything at the Bakehouse. I miss living right down the street from there!

This place is a gem! The food is AMAZING! And the owners are friendly and welcoming. So grateful to have this in our community. They truly care about the foods they create, the people they employ and the community they serve. You can taste it in the food and feel it when you walk in the door. If you haven’t been there yet, GO NOW! (But not if it’s Monday) Get the Panzanella Salad and 5,709 things from the baked goods case. You will not regret it.

Such a gem of a bakery! Their items are the perfect balance of savory and sweet, and we love their lunch and dinner items as well! The owners have kept a consistent safety protocol during the pandemic and it is appreciated by so many. They even opened a little market stand with hard to find items when product was sparse. Truly a wonderful neighborhood bakery.

Kurt and Allison bring some of the best treats and food ever! I first found them at one of the markets before they opened 1748 Bakehouse and was immediately in love with everything. Their store is so fun to go to and everything is still just as amazing. They put love in everything they do. Grab a breakfast sandwich or salad for now and some cookies, galettes and things for later because you will be craving more the next day :)

Always a positive experience when you visit the Bakehouse. The quality of their products cannot be matched, and the staff is always tremendously pleasant. They took great care to keep their clients happy during the pandemic by affording pick up options with ease, and they continue to care about the safety of their community, clients, and staff by asking folks to mask up while inside the shop. Highly recommend.
