Visited for lunch while traveling south. Just a few minutes off the interstate and worth the extra few minutes. Seems like a popular local eatery, and the food is delicious. The restaurant is in a large historic home. There is something on the menu for everyone.
Wonderful experience! The bartender is a sweetheart and mixes the best drinks! We had a awesome waitress! I have celiac disease and totally took care of my issues and the meal was Amazing!

It’s not often that you find an eating establishment that makes you saw “Wow!” on the first taste of not just one item we ordered, but every item. Every bite, every spoonful, was amazingly delicious.nnThe Peppermill was recommended to us by the lady we met during our walk on the Virginia Creeper Trail in Abington VA on Monday. We will definitely return to try other dishes on their menu.
Nice downtown Abingdon, VA eatery. Outside porch seating available. Was there for lunch and have entrees as well as sandwiches and quesadillas. I had the Backbone Rock sandwich which was good but not spectacular. My wife had steak and cheese quesadillas and they were spectacular, great flavor. Food was a bit slow coming out but server was very attentive.
