Chris has done several decks for me (including my own home) and they are pieces of art. After calling several companies he was the only person who came in budget and did a fantastic job. Plus a pleasure to deal with. Thank you Chris.

Chris and Nw Custom Deck did a fantastic job on our project. From his design work, to the finishing details on the deck...everything was top notch. We are very pleased, and have recommended this company to several of our friends.

WARNING! Do not use them if you hope to get your project done on time or on budget. We have engaged an attorney so can't say too much, but our job was not completed. Definitely find someone else for the job...

I am not surprised reading in many reviews of this contractor (on Google, Yelp, Super Pages and other consumer sites) references to engaging attorneys and other authorities to help deal with this business and its unscrupulous practices. Based on my own experience with this contractor, I absolutely agree with those who do not recommend hiring this contractor for any of your needs. Dealing with this business has been the worst experience among my many home improvement projects accomplished to date. If, however, dispite all of the negative reviews you are still considering hiring the NW Custom Decks, please know that with all their sweet talk and many promises, any warranty given by this contractor will exist only in your wishful thinking, not to mention your phone calls to the contractor for any warranty related issues will not be returned. Moreover, if any of the used materials (purchased by the contractor on your behalf and for your project) fail to perform and you need to file a warranty claim with a material’s manufacturer, you will find yourself in a peculiar situation with a manufacturer, who will expect you to produce an invoice, outlining the cost of the material in question. You won’t have that invoice, because the contractor will not submit it to you and will not itemize (even if you request them to) the cost of the material and labor and will only issue a contract based on the total (labor and material lumped together) cost. In addition, if you are unfortunate enough to be faced with the failed material, even if your warranty claim is sucessful the manufacturer will not be responsible for any associated labor (replacement of failed materials) and will refer you to the contractor’s warranty on labor. At that point you will come full circle to where you started: trying to get the NW Custom Deck to stand by their labor warranty and... good luck with that. For what it’s worth, I do hope that someone will go far enough in their qwest to discipline this business, otherwise many future negative reviews will be coming.

No Warranty on work. Major problem with deck roof leaking from the begining. Have called many times. Chris always sounds sincere about coming over to fix it. Ill be over tomorrow, in a couple of days, next week. I have literally called about 15 -20 times, he never shows. Once you pay him he is gone, check out other reviews on other sights seem to be hard to find and are not favorable reviews. Seem to say the same thing. once you pay him he is gone . I finally sent photos to roof manufactor, sent me back a very discriptive pdf file of how his company had installed it wrong
