Doctor of Pharmacy here and boy do my tastebuds love this coffee. Ironclad boasts friendly staff who are very knowledgeable in their products! They treat everyone equally and kindly and are also welcoming to families. I am thankful the community has this fine establishment.
Really cool space. However, they decided to clean up the upstairs an hour before they were supposed to close and we weren’t able to enjoy the seating up there. The coffee wasn’t the greatest, my husband and I both got oat milk based drinks and that’s all they tasted like.
I went to school for graphic design, so I know good coffee shops when I see them. I love it every time I visit here. The coffee is good and the atmosphere is calming enough to sit down and feel comfy, but energetic enough that it's interesting just watching the goings on. The owners are super nice! I also love how they're so invested in their communities and taking care of the environment by lessening their shop's waste. Lots of recycling and reusing, and donating and volunteering. Great people, great coffee, great place. 5 stars for sure. I recommend Ironclad to all my friends who pass by Richmond :)
Recent purchaser of a MacBook pro here, and I can say based on a lifetime of experience doing things, that this cafe is the best around. You are not going to find better quality products at better prices anywhere in Richmond. Highly recommend.
Best espresso I've had in the past 4 weeks. Lovely decor too. When covid is over this is the spot to set up with your laptop or textbooks for sure
