Beautiful place and beautiful day to watch the sun set. #odualumna
The park is good and nice place to spend some time. There's no public bathroom around which is a major missing
They will not kick you out no matter how obnoxious you are - which is incredibly sexy. No parking only people who go to odu feasibly can visit.
The park has been significantly cleaned up in the last few years. They added an obstacle course with padding as turf. The course is perfect for team building exercises. After a rain water builds up on the padded turf and can make it slippery. Viewing the sunrise or sunset here is very lovely, but the water isnt safe for swimming.
The beach is on ODU campus, it is small, but the scenery is nice. Sometimes you can see big cargo ships passing through or you can watch the sailing or crew teams with their boats in the water. There's also a small playground and volleyball right there on looking the beach as well. It's a nice place to go to relax after a long day.nnThe only downside is the size of the actual sand part of the beach, aside from that it is nice.
