It's an important historic fort but little to see inside the buildings. Most only able to see the setting and outside of the buildings. Very historic.

Nice small fort to visit. Easy to access after clearing security. Beautiful view of the water. Guided tour in the summer. Free

The tour begins with informational session and a viewing of a video about Norfolk' s early days. Did you know that the city limits ended at the Hague? Neither did I! Touring the buildings allows you to see actual dwellings and workmanship that were used as early as 1812. Imagine walking the same steps as Norfolk soldiers did during the War of 1812! Even the fort's doors have a unique history. This your is well worth the time. I'll go again just for a trip back in time. I loved it!

Killing time before Fantom Works tour. Not much there. Guards were really nice. All self guided tour, all buildings closed
