Gave this place a 1 originally because of the wait. However the coffee and food were amazing.nnGot the Thompson with the golden milk latte with a shot of espresso. Would recommend.nnI'd say the hosts time estimates are off and they're slow to clean open tables. Only reason this didn't get a 5. They told us to be here by a certain time and we ended up waiting for nearly 30 minutes longer than expected.
Visited for lunch with my friend and the teenagers, after having a meal at Commune at VA Beach. This location was just as great. Farm fresh food, light and airy space. I would be here every week if we lived in the area. A nice shop with many local products and samples of those products as well! Friendly staff and were seated right away. Food took a while, which we expected, but well worth the wait!
Ah, this place is delightful! The food was delicious and nourishing, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive but not overbearing and the atmosphere is comfortable with lots of natural light, a plethora of plants and some local goods to purchase.

I absolutely adore Commune. The space is so relaxing, open, bright and inviting. Their servers work together to make sure you have everything you need, even after you've paid your bill and are just finishing up your conversation. Unique drinks, locally sourced products, and unbelievably delicious eats make for a place I would happily visit regularly with locals as well as take out of town guests. Sidenote: houseplant lovers will love this place!
