Quality Inn & Suites Albuquerque Downtown - University

Upon checking in I was asked if I would like a downstairs room. She was very considerate. My room was large, 2 queen beds that were nice to sleep on, microwave, small refrigerator that was cold, a lot of pillows on bed. Air conditioner/heater worked great. Because of Covid-19 no breakfast bar but the muffins were good and coffee was great. There were juices too.

My car was stolen here. The burglars took it to the neighboring hotel to steal another car. They left my car for a nice truck, thankful for that. The ac was loud so I slept with ear plugs. Beds were comfy, room was big and bathroom was pretty clean. Staff was pretty nice too. It is a good value if your car doesn’t get stolen. Park in good view of cameras.

In laws stayed here. Rooms were good not great!

If you are from Albuquerque, please consider NOT recommending this hotel to friends or family. The owner of this property does not support locals and refuses to rent to anyone from Albuquerque. Obviously their opinion of people who live here is so low, they won’t accept a 6 night reservation. Reply to the comment: It is not for MOST hotels right now. I was able to find a place that does not look down on local within minutes.

If you go by looks alone, the quality of decor is older and dated. Popcorn ceilings, cheaper materials to renovate the hallways, outdoors, and rooms. Unfortunately the dryer was out of service. The front desk receptionist was nice though.
