We are so lucky to have so many great parks in Chesterfield County. There’s a huge number of activities and classes for all ages. And the staff are doing a great job of making activities safe during the pandemic.

My wife and I took the Introduction to White Water Kayaking class with Chesterfield Parks and Rec and loved it. Greg Velzy and his team provided great instruction, made the experience fun, and introduced us to an incredible new way to enjoy the river. I highly recommend this class to anyone interested in outdoor activities in general, and especially to those interested in getting out on the river. You can start the first day with exactly zero experience and by the end of day two, you will have confidently paddled down a section of the James.nnThere are tons of other classes available, as well. We look forward to taking more white water classes, but there is a huge array of activities available through the park system. Take advantage of this great resource!

Love it here, they have multiple baseball fields, 6 basketball courts, 2 racketball courts, and 3 tennis courts
