Hiking up to the top can be cold most of the year. Usually there is wind so bring plenty of warm and wind blocking clothing. Especially cover your head and ears. Beautiful Vistas in all directions. Spring and summer wildflowers. Birds and other wildlife. Parking permit required if you leave a car in the parking lot to hike.

Great stop! Well worth the short trip up. The drive to the top is beautiful! Look for the quaint waterfalls surrounded by stonework. Wildflowers were a nice addition along the road. Easy trails to the peak wind through meadows and forest. Amazing view on top!! Cascades to your left (Hood to Bachelor), and the Coast Range and Pacific Ocean (on a clear day) is on your right. So glad to have found this gem!

Even in bad weather water cascading down rocks on way up. The top 10 miles from road was windy and foggy as weather blew in. Scary cool, like weather channel coverage!

It was a beautiful day. There was a chill in the wind but we soaked it all in!!

Very beautiful view. On a clear day you can see all the mountains. I suggest you stay on the path and stay off the hill.
