Big Elk Campground

A pretty nice spot out in the middle of the coast range. Nice to have in the sea of logging land. I really like Rollin through Harlan, and this spot does the trick. Pay for a night its gotta cost something to clean out the bath room and have fresh water.

We were here to check out the place and parked in a site. Literally 5 min later the camp host who lives next to the place was already hounding us to pay. Had to explain that we were just scoping the place out. Not exactly a good first impression for a place when the host is watching it like a hound..

It's a small campground, so not too many people. A small river that the kids can play in, adults too. The host is awesome and the fees are very reasonable.

Last ditch campground right off the shoulder of the road. Not much of a site with not much to see. Probably an okay place to stay when fishing Big Elk Creek.
