Alsea Falls Recreational Site

A quick walk to the up close view of Alsea Falls. There is also Green Peak Falls to view about 3/4 of a mile hike down river and then veer right up Peak Creek that flows into the Alsea river. Both falls are easy to get very close to. Getting to the top of Green Peak Falls is a bit steep; there is a rope to assist the ascent and decent. A nice family hike!

This is a fee area but if you have the right pass displayed in your windshield, the fee is waived. There are pit toilets in the parking area.nThere are lots of pine trees and walking trails. There are picnic tables in fairly private surroundings. The falls are very close to the parking area and are accessible to people with disabilities.

Fun filled place

It was just wonderful, little cold for a morning venture.

Day use fee of $3 (cash only). Pet and kid friendly, short hike. Beautiful scenery and the energy from the falls gave me goosebumps. Saw a beautiful snake and some lizards on the rocks by the water. Stunning!
