I was incarcerated here for 6 months and the food was amazing for a detention center, the events the warden approved and funded were cool, the staff were very professional and respectful as long as you showed then respect back. The extra classes and community outreach assistance and job readiness programs were very helpful too. The only downside is the out side patio for recreational purposes is small AF and the ones who get the basketball size patio and hoop are the high end inmates which i think was not cool.

heard way better conditions then Sacramento County and they are very respectful and treat you like a human being.

Great experience! Clean, comfortable and fun. Made a lot of new friends. Very egalitarian.

My rating is solely based on experience with visiting. It's no secret conditions and food need improving for inmates. But i go every week for a year now and all employees that i have dealt with in visiting have been pleasant and dont treat the visitor poorly like other facilities do.

My husband is impressed with the professional and fair treatment displayed by the staff at NSDC. The food is nutritious, and is 100 times better than where he was previously. I believe that they're doing it right at the Nevada Southern Detention Center. Thank you!
