As of this posting the snow is about 3 to 4 feet deep. Trails have been blazed in some areas through the snow, but, you will randomly sink in the snow without snowshoes. The deeper snow higher on the trail is not compacted so even with snow shoes it is very difficult. Parking is on the side of the road and is restricted by the snow piles from the cleared road.
Beautiful walk, enough to get the heart rate up but not exhausting! Great views.
I went as high as I could on my mtbike until the snow was too deep. Great vista's of Washoe Lake & Carson City.
Nice trail!!
Just a great place to hike in relative shade and with water for the dogs...
