Memory's Vault was a short hike from the mainland. It was near one of the main batteries and even had poems. Would recommend to a friend.

Now more than ever this appears like a significant and symbolic location. Sam Hamill (rest in peace, rest in power) has provided a fantastic vision with his anti-war, Cascadian poetry. The meditation chairs are just as powerful as when I visited the first time years ago. I really, really think this installation is beautiful and hope more get to visit.

A short hike to the top of Artillery Hill will bring you to Memory's Vault. It's an interesting place that's great to take photos of. It's quiet and peaceful here.

Cool but strange make sure to check it out. Also don't forget all the other buildings nearby. Lot of stuff to see at the top of the hill
