Tia Juana's Mexican Grille & Cantina

We discovered a gem tonight - Tia Juana’s Mexican Grill and Cantina. We drove from Carlsbad to Hobbs in order to find a restaurant that offered indoor seating. It was well worth the drive! The manager, Chase, was personable and welcoming and our waitress, Marissa, was a delight. The last time I had Chili Verde as good as Tia’s was 45 years ago in a little desert town in California. Thank you Tia!

Server was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. Poppers came with breading instead of bacon that we were hoping for, but still good. It was our first time dining out since the COVID shutdown and it was great to return to human life

Was a very bad experience won't be eating there again. Food was cold had to be sent back and took forever to get back, my family was done eating before I got my plate. they said, that they made me a fresh plate which wasn't true was later told put under a heat lamp. Wife found hair in her food. After I received my plate everything was sloppy and smoothed together. When asking what was going to be done all that was taken care of the tacos, and the manager chase was rude about it Saying that he made sure it was fresh which it wasn'tand basically sayinghe wasn'tgoing to do anything about it. Won't be going in here for awhile or ever. Definitely not worth the price could of gotten better quality of food from taco bell. Excuse me I never said I wanted the whole meal comped as my food was Luke warm you say your the owner but I feel you are nothing cause you brought up points I talked to your manager and you weren't there for the conversation. He was rude and just wow shows how you value your customers with the negative attacking of the customer.nThis is to your answer of my review.n1. Never did I ask for the meal to be comp, you said moments when it was infact 20 mins after my family got their food before I received my plate, I counted 3 togo orders and 2 dine in after I sent my food back before getting the manager involved. Furthermore I should of never had to send my plate back so I feel it should of been discounted.n2. You saying I was wrong about the appearance of my food and telling it wasn't fresh your manager told me they put it under the half and half as he called it which is a glorified hot plate. You weren't part of the conversation. Then you saying writing a poor review cause I wanted a free meal, is customer shaming at its finest. As far as my wife's tacos they were taken off because you staff had poor hygiene practices in the back, it is in my experience with food which is a great deal working from server to a gm hair nets should be worn and beard nets should be worn if you have facial hair, but most food industry places require clean shaven policyn3. Customer shaming is what you did in the response shows me the customer values you want in your staff particularly managers.nUltimately your business messed up, and I called you out tried to get the situation taken care of but, yall refused to make it right. Then you as a owner show little care for your business and customer shame so, it makes me think you see values as a money thing which with that you will go belly up.

I've never been to this restaurant before, thought I'd try it for the first time. Was really unimpressed by the service. Front desk staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. Food was not really good considering the high price.

Won't be back!!! The waitress referred to the manager because I asked about the red enchilada sauce...nobody knew and the manager was very rude!! Management should know what type of enchiladas sauces they serve!!!! Especially in New Mexico!!!!
