Fun supper club. Great drinks, food, atmosphere. Reservations system needs work. We had a reservation that we booked over a week in advance. When they confirmed, they had us for an incorrect time and couldn’t fix it for us. We arrived at the new reservation time. They were too busy and weren’t able to seat us for about 45 minutes. Aside from the botched reservation and excessive wait, was a good experience.

Beautiful atmosphere. We were excited for the new experience. We asked to taste a wine before ordering the bottle. The Somalia brought us a taste and we never saw her again. We asked several times for the bottle. When they finally brought it, we were already done with our appetizers. No one seemed to pay any attention to us. Our waiter rarely looked our way. We were there for an hour before we received our entrees. The chicken was so dry we didn’t eat it. The chicken salad was sub par at best. The Sea Bass was good. When were were ready to leave, they brought us 3 little tiny cookies that tasted like sawdust. Our bill was around $300. Very disappointed in the whole experience. We will never go back.

First time visiting Aspen & we were recommended to dine at Betula. It was a beautiful experience. The food was delicious & everyone was very polite. Would certainly return!

This used to be a great place. Things have changed.nnAfter making a reservation 30 days ahead, 14 days later the restaurant called and said they were adding a charge of $150 per person minimum (so it would have been a $600 minimum charge for our party of 4). Instead of telling us this when we made a reservation, they waited 2 weeks until all other reservation options were unavailable in aspen over the Christmas break, then they called and told us about how much we would be required to spend. Then, when I talked to the lady responsible for telling people about this bad late policy, I was frustrated with her and she cancelled my reservation after I asked to speak to a manger.nnForced spend is very bad idea. Allow optional generosity. I have no problem making a donation to people who are struggling during the pandemic, including restaurants asking for help from their patrons. But the way they handled this makes me think poorly of this place and their management. I won’t be returning, neither will my aspen friends, and that’s a shame, because we used to like it there. News spreads fast in aspen. We don’t support bad people.
