I'd give this place a 10 out of 5 if I could when I went there a few months ago but I never got a chance to do a review. I was hesitant about getting a kayak because I had a rented car and didn't want to get it damaged but the reviews put that to rest. Sure enough Paul made sure it was no issue, padded with blanket and strapped carefully so it was a non issue despite not having a roof rack. Prices were good and staff was friendly. Gave us tips for first timers and recommended the ghost town of Interlaken. Overall this place made a great impression of Twin Lakes so I can't recommend it enough.

This place is awesome! Great prices! Great quality gear. They showed us the easiest ways to get the canoe onto my small SUV and how to make sure it was secured correctly. They made sure we were set up for success in each aspect of the rental. Where to go, where to stay away from, helpful tips, fun places to see, they were just really great. My friend lives down the road, so ill be back every time we come to visit. Thanks for making our trip on the lake an easy one!!

The customer service that we received from Paul was outstanding! He told us about the area, what to explore and how the water flows so we would know how hard/long it would take to get back. The kayak was an amazing worth it experience. Reasonable prices and sturdy equipment. We were worried on how we would transport the kayak but luckily Paul had pads and straps to attach to the car. 100% would recommend and do it again.

We had a great experience with Paul! The place we originally planned to rent from was closed so we drove to the village hoping to find another rental place. Paul was really helpful explaining how to load the kayak on the car, where to go on the lake etc. We’ve been to Twin lakes before but renting a kayak makes it possible to really explore the lakes. There are some beautiful beaches out there. Super happy with our rental and experience.

Had a great experience renting from Mt Elbert Canoe and Kayak. Had a rental car, but they provided a blanket and the straps needed to get to the water. Didn’t leave a mark on the car. The guys are very friendly, and prices are fair. The wind on the lakes hit hard early (around noon) on the day we were there, which made paddling difficult and wet, but we still had fun. Go early to avoid the winds that pick up midday, and enjoy lunch at one of the food trucks near their place!
