I’ve been wanting to go to the Carlsbad Flower Fields for almost 3 years and we finally got to experience it the first weekend! While the grounds are pretty and the views are wonderful, we left feeling like $20 per person was a steep price for what you get.nnud83euded0We were extremely disappointed that the U-Pick Blueberry Patch was already sold out and it’s only the first week of opening! I was most excited for this because our son’s favorite food of all time is blueberries and we didn’t even get to indulge in this experience.nnud83cudf37Maybe I should have done more research ahead of time, but I didn’t realize you can’t really walk through the rows of flower fields. You can take a stroll around the perimeter but that’s as close as you can get. I understand the reasoning behind this rule, but it was still a let down.nnud83cudf3cNot all of the flowers were in full bloom yet. I’m not a flower expert so I don’t know if all their fields will be in bloom all at once or if one blooms just as the previous one is wilting, but I felt like there should have been more flowers in full bloom for us to be paying full price to see them.nnud83cudf38If you don’t want to spend the price, water a mask, or schedule an advanced ticket (which is required this season), you can get a view of the flower fields from the walkway on Armada Drive for FREE!nnud83dude9cDon’t get me wrong, we enjoyed our time. Our son loved seeing all the tractors and playing on the playground. I suppose we just had higher expectations.
A truly, magical place!! We were here on Easter Sunday and we couldn't have arrived at a better time. The place is so colorful and there are plenty of areas you can be in the limelight for some panoramic photos. They also have tractor rides for the kiddies around the ranch, a small cafe, an adorable playground, and a small farmers market you can purchase flower bouquets, toys, t-shirts, and other neat things. The poppy colors are incredible and when the day is clear blue, everything rhymes!nReflecting on the last difficult year, it really is refreshing to see colors and lights of hope. Well this place does the job! The employees were super friendly, welcoming, and grateful! We drove 220 miles roundtrip for this and felt it was worth it. What a treat! Best day in awhile! Wished we could have stayed longer. Thank you so much.ud83cudf3aud83cudf38ud83dudcaeud83cudff5ud83cudf39ud83cudf37ud83dudc07❤
The flower fields was the most memorable experience I've had in a while. I went with my mom and it was amazing. The flowers were vibrant and healthy and blooming like crazy!! The staff was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and very kind. The weather was perfect also! Definately worth the money to get in! I will definitely be back and next time I will be bringing friend's. It's also a great place to capture excellent floral photography if you're into the kind of thing.
Such a beautiful place. So serene and peaceful. We had a great time taking pictures and picking blueberries. They have many different plants and acres of Ranuncoulus flowers. There are a lot of photo opportunities and it is great place to take wedding photos. We really enjoyed ourselves while we were here. Will definitely be coming back and recommending this place
If you love gardening then this place is A DREAM! Such beautiful plants here. Fields of menu different color flowers. Great place for photography as well. Or even if you just want to have a nice walk with some wonderful scenery. This is the place to be!
