It's a decent park. They stock the lake periodically so you can go fishing. There are plenty of barbecue pits, benches and grass area for picnics . A few attractions like an old tank and a small rose garden and a few gazebos. It's got a couple of playgrounds and an auditorium for outside concerts and lots of parking. You can rent a paddle boat and feed the ducks or swans. It's also good for a nice run or walk with friends and family. There are a few people walking around selling things depending on the type of year and if you're lucky you'll catch an ice cream vendor.
I love this park.nBig lake with majestic tress all around it.nAll types of birds in lake.nGreat place to walk.nYou need to be steady on your feet because there is a lot of off roading.
Designed by the same person who planned central park in New York. Two playgrounds, a water play feature, lake with geese and ducks, some picnic areas have barbecues. Lovely place for morning walks but be aware that many homeless people sleep here at night - it's safe during the day but avoid after sunset. There are often car shows, city events, and large family gatherings/reunions held here so know that there may be crowds especially on weekends.
Went around 10PM in the middle of the night with my best friend. Felt comfortable and safe there just walking. Area during the day time is beautiful and family friendly. I love down side is that there is not really a side walk on some parts around the lake
Nice park. Really enjoyed bike riding there. Loved the huge pond. There is a narrow street that goes around it you can bike, also walking path/bike path closer to the pond, and a small paved/rocky path that will lead you to other bike trails to explore I believe is the Santa Ana trail
