Very cool historic place to check out. Definitely worth a visit if you are on the island.nnThere are also a variety of campsites (paid and with reservations) as well as large barracks and officers housing that you can rent.nnThe views around the grounds are pretty amazing. Worth going prior to sunset, you get almost a 360 degree view from the spotting buildings.nnOne thing I find kind of odd though is that the buildings with the AA guns are only partially painted. Like 1 or 2 of them are freshly painted and look how they did back in the time they were used, and then they just gave up on finishing the rest.nnOverall a very interesting place and cool spot to have a picnic. Beach access as well.

Fun state park. Lots of large grass fields lead up to the well maintained fort. Great place to discuss the history of forts with kids and to let them run up and down and experience it for themselves. The park is extremely well maintained and serves many different purposes. Great place to catch a sunset on the ocean as well.

First time at the park really liked it. Most all of the sites are nice and have views. Enjoyed walking through the old gun batteries, really great views from there. Saw lots of different birds including Great Blue Heron and Eagles.

Really nice historical park. Easy to roam around on your own, but a guided tour will offer a lot more. There are some extremely friendly and knowledgeable people who can walk you around and tell you all about the buildings, the history, and how the fort came to be and its local relevance.

Interesting place with large concrete gun emplacements that you can walk around. A couple of decommissioned guns look out over the Puget Sound. Kids love exploring. A large grass area and a beach
