I always love hiking to this section of Griffith Park. It has a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere for those who want a quiet piece of nature that isn't too far from the city. There are many tiny routes that circle the top of the garden so you can find benches along them and sit to enjoy the view. There is a water fountain and bowl for the furry friends we bring along. There is a trash can at the top as well. The hike has some options when trying to reach the garden, there is a a normal steady hike along the slope of the hill or stairs designed in the dirt. Rest assure this is a great spot to come and read a book where one side of the hill has the sounds of the freeway but subtle. Or the other side that is pure nature . But not many benches are offered on that side.
I have been coming here since I was a kid. It is just fun to see all the things we can not grow in the desert. I love the lush feel of it all.
Why it took me nine years to finally go to the wonderful garden place known as Amir's Garden escapes me. I figure better late than never right? When I finally did make it here, I was stoked! It's a very fun place to hang out, read, walk around, write, get high, or just do nothing. There are SO many plants, trees, and flowers. At one point I felt like I was walking around a scene from Alice in Wonderland. It's SO BIG here. I was really surprised. Completely worth the price of admission. There are gnomes too. Everywhere! I was talking to one for several minutes. My friend says it was the acid but I'm pretty sure they were just really tiny people that live in the flowers and love cookies. I love cookies too. Especially chocolate chip.
Went with my husband for our Anniversary. Everything was beautiful, relaxing and we enjoyed walking around. It's very peaceful. Plenty of shade for those hot summer days too. Lots to see. It was also fairly clean for it being outside. We will definitely be coming back and bringing our kids!
Lovely and Quaint. Great view of the Griffith Park Golf Course Driving Range.
