I'm training for Spacerock here!

This is a cool loop if your a moderate hike. The incline goes on for about 3 miles out of the 5, which proved to be challenging. We saw some amazing birds, lizards, and ran into two rattlesnakes. It is important to be vigilant. My dog did well on the hike, but a lot of poop is left on the trail from irresponsible owners. It's really quite a shame. Overall, great hike, but be prepared!

Great hike, wide trail the whole way so pretty easy to distance from others.nParking is not great, just in a neighborhood on a huge hill.nRecommended going up the south branch and down the north for the loop if you're hiking, opposite if you're on a bike.

I made the trail hike with my family and we had an awesome time. It takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to walk the top. And about the same time going down. You will find 2 ways to walk the trail. From the North side and from the South side. Start from the South side going counter clockwise around because it's less steep from this side. If you want a steeper walk then start from the North side going clockwise. It's about 3.5 miles to the top. Make sure to take a partner with you just in case. The recommend 2 or more people to do the trail walk. Also, make sure to bring plenty of water to drink. ud83cudfc3‍♂ufe0fud83dudeb6‍♂ufe0fud83dudc4cud83dudc4dud83dudca5

Wide, well-kept trail with great views of LA from the peak. As such, the trail is heavily used and negotiating parking can be difficult. There are trash and recycle bins at the trailhead, making it easy to pack out your trash and dispose of it conveniently. Lots of sun exposure, so be sure to prepare with sunscreen and shady headwear. Other hikers use the trail courteously and respectfully, and many wear masks while on the trail. The neighborhood around the trailhead has very conspicuous speed limit signs posted, so be sure to watch your speed while driving in and out. Great trail, but its popularity makes it a bit crowded.
