Very cool place!nnThis is a short although more demanding hike than some due to a lot of steps and final uphill walk - however if you are careful and take your time, you will enjoy it so much!nnWe did not go very far into the cave because there were a lot of mating doves in there and they clearly interested in being left alone, so we respected that. Hopefully next time we can explore the inside of the cave more though.nnThe trail is one-way and enters in one parking lot and exits in the one beside it.nnLimited cell signal so be prepared with downloaded maps and information for everything you need.
The trail to Rock House is very well marked and easy to follow. It is between a mile to a mile and a half from the parking area, down into the valley, through the cave and back up the other side. It is a pretty amazing place to see. Be aware that there are a lot of steps and hills. When you get to the bottom of the first set of stairs you will see the cave and perhaps think, 'there is no way I'm getting up there'. Don't fret; keep walking. There is more than one way to get in.nnMy traveling companion was more relaxed on this hike. We even went into a cave full of people and there was no barking. ud83dude01
Beautiful experience soaking up God's imaginative creation!! Well marked trail. Steep steps down and winding trail back up. Take your time and enjoy!
The views in the summer are beautiful but stunning in the winter. If you’re planning on visiting in the winter, be very careful on the steps. When we were there they were very slick and most areas with steps don’t have handrails. Definitely not pet friendly because of the ice in winter but fine in summer.
Worth a visit, Rock House was like a big room. Be careful on rock steps (pit toilets only, and no trash cans in p/l).
