I enjoyed my short trek through the E Trail however I spent 15 minutes trying to find the entrance to the trail. I found that the trails are over grown and there are a lot of fallen trees blocking some of the trails. If you plan to take a dog with you, i strongly recommend you don't bring an older dog that may get worn out easily from the hills and climbing over the trees. Wouldn't mind going back. I hope that once all this pandemic stuff calms down the trails will get some care.
Very quiet and beautiful part of Mt. Airy Forest. McFarlan Woods has quickly become my favorite hiking spot!

I went to a park event here, it was our first time there. I can't speak for the rest of the park but the creeking event was great! The naturalist was super knowledgeable and friendly.
