J. Ogilvy

Unbelievably Wonderful People. The day before my daughter's wedding I accidentally ran into J. Ogilvy.( I had meant to go into Jos A. Banks next door.) I needed a nice dress shirt. I'm so happy that fate put me in Ogilvy's. Edward Kass came out to help find the exact shirt I wanted (which I later realized was considerably cheaper than at Jos. Banks) He called a seamstress who agreed to tailor the shirt overnight. Great, right. Then I asked if they sold suspenders. He said: only those that buttoned, no clip-on. I said: too bad, I had wanted to match my grandsons who were wearing suspenders. Next thing I know he is taking his clip-on suspenders off, hands them to me and says: use these with my compliments. Return them whenever you can. It was a wonderful gesture that I kept thinking about as I ran off to watch my daughter get married. It reminded me that there are still many fine people out there. So nice they'll give you the shirt or the suspenders off their back. This is a great store with great people. Shop here. Support goodness and kindness. And get some great clothes at a good price.
