A good old friendly Barber who is a master of his craft and great talking to. Always a great hair cut for myself and my kids.nnEnjoy listening to his stories of his 50 plus years of being in the same location.nnIt is always clean and current reading material. Hunts keeps his Gibson Guitar in the back and if you ask he'll take it out and jam after the cutting is done.nnOne of the last true barber shops in this area.

I had been there 4-5 times with no complaints, and the guy I always got it cut by seemed to recognize me; when I said that I wanted the usual cut, he seemed to know what I mean—long on top short on the sides. I should have known when he started buzzing the top that something was off. I told him that I thought he was going to short, and he insisted that my usual meant a buzz cut—I’ve never gotten a buzz cut in my life! Then, he just stopped in the front and left one side of my hair a whole 2 inches longer than the other side.nnAfter arguing with me that I don’t know MY usual, and then saying “don’t worry, it’ll grow back” after completely messing up my hair, he charged me $20.nnFor men, Strong Island Styles is down forest avenue and for women, Morrells is down the street, near the Basil Leaf Cafe. I can personally vouch for either of them, but never, ever go to Hunts.
