Saranac Lake Islands Public Campground

One of the most gorgeous camping places in the Adarondacks. All sites are boat-in, which means they feel exclusive and private. If you're lucky, you might even have an island all to your own.

No Docks!nAbsolutely beautiful place, but for camping, there is no docks! Very rocky shores, had to throw anchor about 20ft from shore and carry everything we needed to camp for 5 ppl, 5 days threw the water, which was deep. I cut my leg on the rocks. Won't be camping here again. And the firepit is garbage, hasn't been cleaned out in a long time

Great boat launch. Parking is tight. Sick cliff diving. Rock it

Check in simple. Ample parking. Kayak launch area nice. Campsites are nicely spaced. Camped during the week on Martin Island. Very quiet and clean. Fishing was great...catching...so so.
