Good place for family picnics and playing in the water. Small water craft (paddle boards, canoes, etc.) are great here. Fishing and great hiking trails go in all directions from here.

From the reviews it seems like many people are confusing this park for the Canyon Entrance park (1rst dam). This park is nice for the large grass area and full grown trees. However the actual playground is very small and old. There are picnic tables under a pavilion but only one bench for families to sit near the playground. There is plenty of room to update this park and I wish they would. Enough families use this park to put in a playground for younger and older children to play.

Clean park, beautiful ducks and geese. People say the fishing is good. Be careful near the road for passing vehicles.

Great place to relax. Nice pavilion. Well maintained. 4 Stars because of all the inconsiderate people who are taking their dogs there and running then off leash. This is a no dog park. Dogs only on leash and only on sidewalk. While we were there we had 6 different people come and run dogs off leash. Most of them did not clean up after their dogs. One guy showed up with 5 dogs. All off leash. Really scared the kids. Needs better enforcement because there are too many abusers of the park.

The park was pretty clean (and people were there working at the time too), and only one other family there when we went (aprox. 1-230pm on Friday). Play equipment was, of course, nowhere near shade and very hot. Bathrooms were good, with soap and running water, and plenty of space for a wheelchair/big stroller/wagon. Best part was actually at the back, over a bridge. There's a section of the river that is beautiful, and feels like it's in a canyon rather than in the city. You have to look through chain link (photo is with camera against fence), but it's still awesome...and loud, from a waterfall!
