This school should be bulldozed and the staff sent off to early retirement. There should be a limit on how long one school can keep the same staff and operate in the same style of 1980s "bully the students into submission" and "don't stand up for them when they have trouble with other students whatsoever" that is not conducive to meaningful education whatsoever. The few activities there are you typical male ego driven sports [competitive boys only contact sports typically], anything else like fine arts and literature are just lost. We only figured out about a music concert through word of mouth, so we went and had to stand in the halls because it was so overcrowded and hot. I had to get supplemental tutors for my kid to help fill in the teachers obvious gap in attentiveness to the student's needs. This school is circling the drain and brings out the worst in its students.
No one cares at this school not the teachers not the students not even the principal the building is closer to a prision then a school and the buses are way to crowded. If the teachers arn't asleep they are yellng (cough, cough Mrs torgesen) I would rather be homeschooled then be at this school
I remember in shop class I sawed the teachers paddle in half, it was awesome!
As a student of North Cache Center, I can firmly say that going here is like spending a few hours in Hell. First off, many of the buses are overcrowded, leading to 3 or 4 students to a seat, and some, such as myself, are forced to sit in the aisle. Secondly, the lockers have the strangest arrangements I've ever seen. One hall of lockers might be packed, while another will have no lockers in use at all. This leads to an uncomfortable arrangement and can "clog" the halls with students waiting to get to their locker. After several classes, it's luchtime. Lunch, however, may be the worst in North Cache Center. The lunchroom is extremely small, which, once again, leads to overcrowding. After lunch is eaten, students may go outside to the front of the campus, or they may purchase snacks and drinks from the snack bar, which is referred to as the "Ala Carte". I would not recommend doing either, because if you buy a snack it will most likely be stolen by another student. I have personally lost five dollars worth of treats to a thief. Outside is full of students who generally like to horseplay or pick on other students, making it a dangerous place. On the subject of students, many can make the learning experience uncomfortable, difficult, or even impossible. There are disruptive, rude, and generally unlikable students who think they are "funny" or "random". The sense of humor that most of these students have consists of vines, dabbing, bottle flips, Harambe, and other generally unfunny, and even dangerous things. Moving on to after school, there are not many extracurricular activities for students to partake in. There is football, volleyball, soccer, and robotics. The sports based activities mostly depend on whether or not you enjoy the sport itself. The robotics class, however, might as well be called "put together some Lego". There is no creativity or difficulty in this class. You are meant to follow instructions from a teacher and compete in a competition at the end of the year. I personally find the class very boring, because, as said before, it is like very slow Lego building classes. Finally, after getting home, I can say that North Cache Center is one of the worst Jr. High schools in Utah.
It's crowded. It's old. It's simple.
