This is a really fun, well maintained trail in Saco. Nice for an fun walk (not a hiking trail). The walk would take about an hour and fifteen minutes max to do the whole route.nnThe scenery is unique and beautiful, and I would definitely recommend visiting.nnA few other things to be aware of:n1. It's free!nn2. It is open in the winter (and maintained decently, but be aware of ice).nn3. It's open dawn to dusk.nn4. The walkway is narrow so you have to be careful when people are walking the other direction.
This is a wonderful place to bring the kiddos for a great walk. Various seats available for resting & bird watching or a light snack. Lovely hidden gem.
Very scenic. Best Heath in Maine.
Awesome place to walk and enjoy a different habitat. The boardwalk is a fantastic way to see the heath - it's level and provides access to different areas without having people wander off into fragile areas.nnHighly recommended, and am looking forward to sharing it with visitors to our area.
