More of a choir boy, then lawyer. I had to fire him. I then decided to represent myself and I actually got a better deal! @ my 8am court hearing Mr. Mekonis was a no show. The judge and I had a long talk about my issues w/ court appointed Mr. Mekonis during his absence(Mr. Mekonis actually confused me for someone else in a meeting and after 20 minutes he realised he had the wrong case in front of him!) @1:30pm Mr Mekonis shows up 5 1/2 hours late and insists I take plea: (90 days in jail) plus fines and loss of license... I fire him, represent myself, talk to judge and DA in judge's office and walk away w/ $500 fine! No jail, no loss of license, no crazy pleas. Just one guilty plea to a misdomenir & a $500 fine! This man is an embarassment to the profession. So glad I have Sarah Branch now!
