This is a amazing place to see. As you can see the lake that was built to generate electricity off of the Coumbia River. Definitely a place worth visiting on your travel through Washington. We saw a deer that was walking down the sidewalk through the small town just before the Dam. So keep your eyes open for wild life.
Really interesting information, cool site to visit, very friendly and knowledgeable security.
I love dams being raised on the Columbia River. So I have to give 4 stars.
I had a delivery to the dam and they are nice people.
We had to add this location. The tour was great. This Dam is massive in comparison to Grand Coulee. The tour was nice. Our Ranger guide was Teresa, she could use a louder voice. It was us and another couple and we were having problems at times hearing her so I don't know how she would do with 16 people. It was really neat seeing the natives snaring salmon at the Dam. That really was cook to see how they fish like that. If we come back thru this area we will definitely do it again.nnWhen you go to the tours don't be confused. You will entered the secured part of the dam. Use the intercom at the gate and say you're there for a tour and they will open it up. Leave all your camping gear at camp as they will search for weapons. Tours we're 10, 12, and 2.
