Since we ended up arriving later in the day during the time of year with limited daylight, we didn’t get to spend hours there and take many trails. I usually don’t go on hikes that start with walking down roads, I prefer to hike on trails, so we already started on the less favorable side. We walked the gravel road looking for the path that led off to the left and also to check out the camping area listed on the map at the kiosk that was also showing on the left. We didn’t find either. We saw several trails headed off the the right and passed them looking for the two locations on the left. We finally decided to turn around and check a few of them out. We did find a campsite, it seemed ok, nothing to get excited about, but maybe in the spring or summer it is more inviting. We also walked the Mountain Bike Trail as I like to mountain bike. It was a short loop, again I think it would be more inviting in the spring and summer. It would be nice if it were longer as it alone would not be long enough to be much of a ride. I am glad to know that they do allow bikes though, as I am always looking for a place to ride off the roads and nearby. I think what I will do next time is ride my bike down the road to allow me more time hiking the trails and less time walking on the road. I will have to come back next summer to really check it out.

One of my favorite places for mountain biking. This trail is both diffcult and rewarding. Ride safe. Have fun. Take your trash with you.
