We chose to move to Freeport for the school system which is excellent academically without the cut-throat pressure typical of rigorous schools. The principal and other school administration are super, and most of the teachers are excellent in their specialties. Many seniors go on to college - we know several who have gone to top colleges such as M.I.T. and Bowdoin, as well as 2-year technical vocational and community colleges. There is great support staff in guidance, and a wide variety of sports, clubs and extracurricular activities. Bullying is not tolerated and we have found the students to be a very welcoming community.
