La Petite Academy of Glen Carbon

I applied for a job at this location when they where advertising and not only did they laugh at me when I did a phone interview, but when I called back for a follow up the lady on the other end hung up in my face. I honestly don’t know if this is a isolated problem but if this is how you treat potential employers this company will not last long in my opinion.

We have nothing but praise for La Petite Glen Carbon. The staff is kind, thoughtful and educated. Our son receives exceptional care and individual attention to help him with early learning development. He has grown so much in a few short months! The staff gets to know every child and they have become our extended family. Most importantly, they provided a daycare solution for us in a time of need. We are forever grateful for the care and attention our son receives at this school. I recommend La Petite Glen Carbon to anyone!

I had planned to write this review awhile ago.My daughter went to this school from May-January 2020. These are my pros and cons about this school. My cons:(1of 3) (1). I will say that unequivocally I hate miss S-assistant director/ lady at the front desk. She is a certain breed of colorless people, I cant stand! I wont even give her the respect of her name so I will refer to her as dingleberry. I would park my vehicle in certain spots so that the trashy parents wouldn't ding up my door, which they did often. I would park next to this black car that always had a space available next to it. I soon realized it was dingleberrys vehicle because she would be looking like a deer in headlights gazing out the building window or as I pull up washing the same spot on the glass door as when I pulled up and left the premises. Then I started to park elsewhere but dingleberry decides to start clicking her car lock alarm as I get out the car just about every morning. Then one day as the director Mrs. Carrie was at the front desk she did it, after that day it never happened again. (2). some days it smelled like a daycare when you opened the door to the classroom (3). My child for whatever reason didn't like her teacher she was going to next at all! Thats the main reason my daughter left. Even tho me and my husband like her,but I will always go with my childs instincts first about someone.nnPros: (1 of 6) (1). The teacher's do care about the kids without any doubt. Mrs. Raquel is the gem at that school. Shes stern but nice. When she was on vacation you can tell she is the glue/foundation that the school needs.(2). Your child will be learning.This is what I miss the most about this school.You can tell your child is absorbing/retaining a whole lot more at this school. (3). They update you with pictures and all activities they do throughout the day. Real time check in and out on the app for the parents (4). I really liked that everyone greeted you as you came into the building. Everyone knows your childs name.(5). I really like that you didn't have set days you had to bring your child, anyday you choose.(6). Mrs. Carrie the director you will know when you meet her by her demeanor and presence shes caring and looking out for your kids.nSo, yes, I recommend this school. If dingleberry wasn't there!

My son graduated from Pre-K at LPA last year and still asks to return because he loved it so much. The staff always treated us like family and ran things in a fun, safe, and organized manner. They are diligent about addressing your concerns, and they never make you feel unwelcome. The director, Carrie, is very friendly and always professional. She always makes decisions that are looking out for your child's best interest, and she truly cares about all of the children, families, and staff in the school. She is honestly the best director you could ask for! I highly recommend La Petite - Glen Carbon!

You know you've found the perfect place for your child when they are excited for it to be Monday and they RUN off to their teacher and friends. La Petite has been, hands down, the most exceptional schooling/day care experience we've had yet in our eight years as parents. Our child joined La Petite after three years of having a nanny. And while we loved our nanny, this school was an incredible place for our daughter. They are attentive and caring. And she thrived there and learned so much -- both socially and academically. She just graduated and is off to Kindergarten. It was a sad day for all of us because there is truly something special about this place.
