Cornbred Barbecue

NEW BARBECUE:nMy wife and I went to Cornbred for the first time. We got there at 7:30p.m. On a Friday night and had a :45 minute to a one hour wait. The grounds were clean and inside was nicely decorated.nFood: the food was fast and hot, but a little salty for my taste. You could definitely taste the smoke in the food, though it was not overpowering and you could still taste the flavor of the beef. We had a 1/2 lb. each of burnt ends, brisket, turkey, two sides of potatoes, and some hush puppies to start.nThe burnt ends were salty and sweet. The barbecue sauce tasted like apple butter mixed with barbecue sauce and tasted great. The hush puppies did taste burned, but the aioli sauce was amazing. The brisket has a 1/4 inch smoke ring and was perfect! The turkey was actually turkey ham and I wasn’t a fan. Lastly, the potatoes had mixed reviews between my wife and I; she didn’t care for them and I thought they were great. One more thing: we ordered the carrot cake for dessert and had them add a scoop of ice cream. It was phenomenal.nThe staff were friendly and attentive and the grounds clean. The food was served on country style enamel covered metal tins and your drinks in Mason jars.nLadies: the restrooms have products for your convenience.nI was VERY impressed with the cost of the food and how inexpensive it turned out given the amount that we ordered.nHere’s the breakdown: the food taste got a 6/10. The value of the food vs. cost got a 10/10. Finally, the cleanliness of the restaurant got a 9/10 as the bathroom needed a little attention. Overall, that’s a 25/30 = 5/6 = 83.33% = B.nI would return, but it might be a while.

Went over lunch time, good atmosphere, friendly servers and noise wasn't an issue as we sat upstairs on the balcony. I'd certainly recommend bringing the family there sometime as the food is delicious. I'm a big meat eater and really enjoyed the beef tips as they had excellent flavor but the brisket was average and a touch dry. Overall, I'd recommend giving it a try.

We tried this for the first time today. Picked up an order to go, and reheated at home several hours later. It was absolutely amazing! The staff was very attentive. While we waited for our order to be filled, several staff asked if we needed anything, including water. We will definitely be back. I recommend it highly.

Really good bbq. I got the brisket. Very soft and had a nice smoke to it. I also ordered the side of cucumbers and tomatoes. It was perfectly done and well balanced. Great way to spend the first warm day of spring!!! Cool building and the waitstaff was great. Don’t worry as they are usually busy..... this place is worth it.

I had Easter Brunch with my family and the food was fantastic as always. Our servers were very busy but took the time to help us find some specialty drinks that we had in the past. They were patient, friendly and they cared very much about us. Thank you to all the staff at Cornbread BBQ!
