I am currently in 7th grade going onto the second semester. I've been at Amboy for three years now. I've had good memories, okay teachers, but in my own experience the district has done nothing about bullying. They can't do most things because of the religious apostolics. So, we have a limited choice of what we have for the school. Do no, I'm not very crazy about this school.

This school has some serious issues regarding religious politics with the apostolic community and non apostolic people. It's 80% apostolic and 20% non apostolic which is what we are. This is a public school not a private school so fitting in for my child and alot of our friends did work out well at all! We talked to the principal and the vice principal and they did not know what to do either which was quite upsetting. There were a few teachers that were great but in general the rest did not know how to involve religious kids of one religion to other kids of other religions or no religion. Something needs to be done immediately because we are still struggling with this. We left Amboy 3 weeks before school was out because we have had enough and to prove a point we enrolled him a different school immediately! I hope this helps everyone who's child is also going through this and I hope this helps clear some things up how we feel and how you feel!

I have a friend, who's child attends this school. Her child is being bullied to the point of depresstion and self harming thoughts. She is scared to death that something inconceivable could be fall her child. She has tried to get a conference with the children responsible for the bullying and their parents to disscuss the problem, but the school denied her do to bad experiences they had in the past. She has had a difficult time getting the staff to work with her to try and solve this problem. I don't think they have even contacted the bully's parents. I can not stress enough how excessive bullying is detrimental to the health of a developing child/young adult. I feel that the staff needs to do more in situations like this to help raise awareness about bullying and the effects it has on its victims. This is a life threatening situation and warrents unwavering attention and follow through by all parties. I pray nothing bad happens.

This school freaking sucks if your talking about right now its horrible I went here in 5th grade and I had all Fs and my teachers didn't didnt care the bullying is so bad too my best friend goes here and tells me all the stories on how bad it is and it just keeps getting worse
