I've visited Lucia Falls in all four seasons and each season has its own beauty! My favorite time to go is in late Fall or early summer when the falls hold such power in their fullness! My last visit was last week (early November) and we viewed 2 bald eagles and salmon jumping up the full falls. It was amazing and majestic! There's always a space to park in the free parking lot. Even when the parking lot is crowded, the park is spread out enough for you to have a semi-private encounter with nature. There are men and women bathrooms and they are always clean (for being in the woods). It always feels like you're walking into a dark forest due to the towering evergreens, even when it's bright and sunny out. In the summer, the lack of rain dries up the falls enough to allow you to climb the rocks (not too hard for kids or out of shape) and explore parts of the riverbed. Maybe I'm just sentimental about this place but I love it and it's a good way to spend an afternoon.
A short, 1 mile round trip jaunt that takes you next to the beautiful falls. Little trails lead off the path to the rocks for better viewing. However, they can be slippery, so be careful! The main path is wheelchair friendly, wide, flat and has a lovely look out almost immediately of the falls. The rest if the path just takes you through the woods and back.
Great place for rc crawling
This is a very beautiful and long trail with breath taking views! I have come here time and time again with no disappointment! The falls are gorgeous and have huge boulders you can easily climb for a good view. Easy path for strollers and dog friendly :)
Peaceful park.
