There is a rugged trail which hugs the northern rim of the fall's cliff. Its a scenic 100, 150 yard trek to a manageable slope to descend to the rivers shore. A beautiful walk inward takes you to the fall's base. It is well worth taking the short journey in the rain. The water will be raging and the forests canopy will offer some protection from the rain.
This is a beautiful, but off the beat hike in the forest. Must be able to scale down hill with rope and steap rock climb up. No parking, so be careful not to block the entrance. There are trails, but these are not well maintained. Do not litter please.
This place is technically closed to the public, you must purchase a $50 pass through the logging company that now owns it. (Be careful up in that area it's pretty sketchy. I found the skin of an elk at the entrance and found its skeleton a bit further up the road (possible poaching?))
Its always fun traveling to this area in search of beautiful waterfalls!
