We walked on the levee down 3 miles then turned around and walked back. Saw an American Kestrel. It was a beautiful walk into the mouth of the Gorge. Busy today, but not bustling or crowded. The gravel road on the levee makes for a pleasant walk.
Parking for approximately 15 vehicles. Three restrooms currently locked. Access to west end of William Clark Trail and 300 foot long dock in Columbia River. Dock has five benches widely spaced. The west end of the dock has numerous fishing rod holders. Beautiful view up, down, and across river.
It was pretty and I nice little hike if you want to. Beautiful view of the top of Mt. Hood on a clear day. Although, there was a sketchy guy hiding behind a sign up top in the trail, so i went down toward the docks and he came out. So, he was either waiting for someone to pass, or peeing on it.
Gorgeous place! Lovely scenery and rainy atmosphere for the afternoon. Still a wonderful lil area to visit and see water for miles. Highly recommend!
