Wow, how have we not been here yet! Best blue plate lunch around NE Alabama.nFried chicken was awesome and real okra not like most others.nCan't wait to come back again.
The food was really pretty good. It came from a hot bar. The service was friendly. Besides the staff wearing masks I saw no other attempts to prevent covid. Seats are was too close together.
The service was good, however the food was mediocre at best and not to my liking. The grits were served with margarine instead of butter, the eggs were not cooked to requested doneness, the hash browns were crispy on the outside but soggy and lukewarm on the inside. Biscuits and gravy had plain white gravy, without sausage in it.
This was my first visit. Me, my husband and step son went after church today. There was a lot of people there yet didn't have to wait for a table. The food was good and the service was good. Enjoyed it very much
Can't go wrong with a lunch plate from Kelly's Kitchen. Prices are great. $8 for a full meal. Portions are large sized. Staff always greets you with a smile. Grilled chicken, carrots, okra, roll, dessert, and drink was $8. There was enough food for lunch and dinner. Highly recommend this place. Very clean.
