I'm guessing most that read this will never experience this quaint little restaurant. As we drove through Alabama, we came to the town of Valley Head. The time was right, so we drove to Main Street and there it was. Tigers Inn is like I said quaint, but nicely remodeled and very clean. We ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy. I had sausage, my wife had the country ham. Unless you are ready for salty ham, I recommend the sausage. The service was excellent, and the folks were friendly.
Quaint, nostalgic, friendly waitress. I had the Western Omlett which was delicious however I had my eyes fixed on the Golden Pancakes the entire meal. Enjoy this gem when you are not in a hurry and are seriously hungry. The other diners are always up for sharing a good story. If you are not a tea or coffee drinker, disappointment is headed your way as they do not offer any sodas. They do have a BYOP (bring your own pop) policy if you must. I suggest stepping back to a time when life was slower because one glass of tea never hurt anyone. If you are lucky, a train will come down the tracks and you get to hear his horn over your cup of coffee.
