As a vendor for the Cowan Heritage Festival, we were very pleased with the facilities and the parking arrangements. Electricity on demand was an amazing benefit, and the outdoor restrooms were kept clean daily. As for the museum, it was a brief but historically packed tour with several actual decommissioned train engines and rail cars for tangible interaction.
Cowan is a wonderful town in Tennessee. The people there are amazingly friendly it is a very small town. Hospitality Raines throughout. The Train Museum in other artifacts around that area are amazing. The reconditioned Texaco gas station right there on the Main Street is beautiful. They were very helpful to be in my travels at the train museum and throughout the town.
Fun place to view and explore. Use extra caution around trains.
Lived in Cowan for over 30 years, great place to go to learn more about trains
Neat little park if you are into trains and civil war history. Lots to learn!
