I’m struggling to keep my head above water. My taxes are a mess thanks to Tax Act and HR online. Thought I’d get some help but they just want more money. Very disappointed in my experience. Especially during these hard times you’d think they would have some heart.

The first appointment to get my taxes done was nothing short of scary. The tax preparer was not knowledgeable and seemed 2 still be learning. At one point I asked her if she was new and she told me it was her second year. She commented and said you seem to know more about taxes than I do. I left the appointment feeling very uneasy and worried. Later approximately two weeks I called and made an appointment with a different tax preparer and relayed my feelings to him and how that went the first time he was very knowledgeable and nice he went through the whole tax prepared pages and corrected the errors that she had made. I believe his name is Sean at the Northeast 192nd avenue and I really liked him he left me feeling perfect. My husband had to come in later to sign and pay the tax preparer fee. The receptionist team my husband's debit card and said it didn't go through. She proceeded to run it a second time for $253 still pending an additional $253 holding our funds all we have

The people who helped me were nice but you might as well take my whole tax return won’t ya? Extremely expensive and I did not know what the price was till the end. Never again.

Costs continue to go up it sems like every year and it still takes me a reasonable amount of time to complete the return.

HR block provides protection and services that gives peace of mind. However for simple return I would most likely recommend to us HR block filing online.
