Not sure where this leads as the gate is always closed. If you're supposed to walk a canoe down the tiny path and put in at the creek there, best of luck. The smaller the boat the better. You aren't going to step over and into the canoe like normal, you are going to have to step down into it. Watch your balance or you will tip it over very easily at this angle. Small creek, but wide enough to paddle down...would be hard-pressed to turn 180°, but not impossible. Not sure where it opens up to, but if its nice, could be worth it. If I was there to paddle, I would certainly walk to find out where it leads before unloading.

Nice moderate hike to a raised wooden platform where the falls is visible in the distance. To the left of the falls, the remains of a crashed plane from decades ago is also visible as a horizontal white chunk of twisted metal.

Beautiful place to visit. An extremely hard hike to make for someone with medical issues. No clue how hard the trail was until we were out on it. Nothing at the trail head gave an indication as to how steep - rocky - loaded with trip hazards it actually was.

The parking lot off bad creek rd is well signed and easy to find. The trail to lower whitewater falls observation deck is pretty well blazed. There are a few areas that I questioned myself. At one point maybe 3/4(1.5miles)of the way to falls you will go around a gate and follow a gravel road for a bit. There are blazes around the road also, just easier to confuse than when on trail. The trial from the bad creek parking to the observation deck is 1.9miles one way according to the signs. It is a moderate level hike and feels every bit of 1.9. I’m sure having my four year old with me made it feel worse than if with all adults. The trial is shady most of the way. You will pass over whitewater river in the process.

Truely the best trek I have ever seen.
