I moved here from Northern Illinois 21/2 years ago and knew no one except my son and his family. I was immediately made to feel at home and welcomed. I joined at the first chance. I got involved and that was the way to make many friends from all walks of life. The community is a little heavy with PhDs but I guess that is to be expected in a university town. I respect their education and they respect my experience. It is home to me now.

My family and I have been attending the UUFC for nearly a year. We have found a welcoming congregation, accepting all points of view.

UUFC is a warm, inviting, liberal congregation of caring individuals

This fellowship has been around for many years. When I was growing up attending RE and services there, it was a place that went out of their way to welcome members with a variety of beliefs, backgrounds, personalities, opinions, and lifestyles. However, new church leaders and members have apparently now developed a humiliating church-court process that they are using to punish, and then kick out, long-standing fellowship members over personal disagreements and rivalries.
