We bought the two day hop on hop off tour. The first day we did the entire tour and that alone was worth while to really get a feel for where else we wanted to explore while here. We used the trolley our second day to get to four stops we wanted time to explore without killing ourselves walking all day. Tour guides were interesting though to be truthful not entirely sure what was actual historical fact and what was urban myth as the two were mixed together. Over the two days we had at least 7 different driver/tour guides and Tony and Ruben were the best/most interesting. Definitely worth it to get this if you’re wanting either a wide view of the city or if you want to drill down to more specific areas. They do have wheelchair access.
Awesome way of getting around town. We got the package that included the Prohibition Museum, which was awesome as well. Phil, one of the drivers was the best driver we had. The tour takes you on around 15 different stops in Savannah, including River Street, right off the Savannah River. You can hop on and off any stop as much as you want, all day. They give amazing descriptions of historical sites, facts, stories, and buildings in the area, and they give wonderful recommendations for restaurants and other places to visit as you pass them.
Wasn't sure what to expect on this tour but we enjoyed it very much. It was very informative about the town and being able to jump on and off to see the different places was great. Our guide was Lillie and she was very nice and knew so much about the city and gave us great suggestions.
Highly recommend this as a way to see Savannah and learn about the history. Ideally you ride the entire loop and then stay on for a second loop and jump off at spots of interest on the second time around. You can ride all you want all day Our driver was very engaging and funny. Not to mention his ability to navigate narrow streets with aplomb!
We love these tours. So far we have done them in Savannah and Boston. Such a great way to explore, saves us the headache of navigating, parking, wasting time. You hit all the highlights in one day rather than the two to three days that it would probably take you on your own. Worth every penny.
