Don't go for ambiance. Go for delicious. Hot and sour soup, best I've ever had. Only drawback, I can't get it by the gallon. Have never ever had a mediocre meal... It's always amazing, and has been for the decade my family and I have been going. Portions are very generous, meals always fresh and piping hot, the tea is amazing. Hands down, our family go to.
This place is off the hook never been dissatisfied. The waiter is so freindly and fast. I won't go any where else
Every employee I saw in the restaurant when I went in for a early dinner was wearing a mask correctly. Food is good, the one poor waitress worked her but off. Too bad I can't say the same for some of the customers. Another place we can't eat at because it's not safe because of peoples people's rudeness and selfishness.
Happy Family offers a wonderful Americanized chinese comfort food experience. The lunch special that they offer on weekdays is very hard to beat, and you certainly get your money's worth. As time has gone on, Happy Family has upped their portion sizes to keep regular customers coming in, as the store has fallen on slightly harder times, especially with the pandemic.nnThe only reason that I don't rate Happy Family a full five stars is due to the condition of their dining area. Christmas lights were still strung around the ceiling in spring and some of the seats are held together with duct-tape. I am unaware of the conditions of the bar, but the bathrooms are rather dirty too. Just avoid using the bathrooms if you can, and you'll find that Happy Family is a comfortable place to enjoy some tasty food.
Not the best Chinese food I have ever had but very good and for the price and size of portions a really good deal.
