Left Savannah and wife and kids wanted to just say we stepped foot in South Carolina . Stopped to get sweets at this bakery and I was hungry. Saw Don Machete , stepped into the place saw the menu , it caught my attention. This place is like is like mom and dad are cooking the food . I had the enchiladas with salsa verde and it was amazing . The food taste fresh and we were treated well . It was such a great vibe that we were given some churros at the end which was perfect for the ride back to Miami. Great food and friendly staff. Lots of great choices on the menu and the churros for dessert are perfect.
Our family frequently orders from Don Machete’s and the food is always excellent, service perfect, it is always a very clean restaurant, and everyone who works there is very polite and friendly. The chicken chimichanga is delicious! My husband loves the beef sopes. We’ve also tried the Buffalo wing nachos and OMG sooo good!
Best Mexican restaurant in South Carolina and Georgia. Very unassuming but great food.
